five simple things #3
Sharing five simple things each week brings me so much joy. I even have a new notebook to help brainstorm ideas. I realize that this series is in its infancy but I look forward to it and this week even started this post mid week in hopes of publishing it earlier on Sunday.
Since moving back home and being closer to the city, I have made attending a farmers market part of my weekly routine. There is a fantastic one about 10 minutes from my apartment. It is no longer peak season (hence the photo of summer strawberries) but they hold a winter market on the first and third Saturdays through March. My excitement was high to go with Mama Bear this Saturday but it was cancelled due to the wintry forecast. I cannot wait until the weekly market returns. I hope share more frequently my weekly finds this summer!
2. This whole week I anticipated crafting! I had hoped to do it last weekend but it just wasn’t in the cards (no pun intended!). I love being able to get lost in making things. When doing a clean out, I found supplies for a project I never got around to making. Depending on how it turns out, I will share the tutorial.
3. When Fox slept over New Year’s Eve, we kicked off our training to get back to running. We are using the Active Couch to 5k app. I love the “Runicorn” coach the best. I’ve used the app before and find it an easy way to get back into a running routine despite the $2.99 cost.
4. I have a love-hate relationship with magazines. Through airline points and free promotions, I have acquired a few subscriptions for free. The glossy pages and beautifully styled photos standout from the mundane bills and junk in the mail box. It is so cozy to curl up on the couch or lay poolside to leaf through the pages and read the articles. However, I am not a magazine reader who bypasses articles topics. While tidying up my room, I realized that I have gotten behind a few months of Eating Well. Occasionally this will make magazine reading feel like a chore for me but I am hoping to carve out some time to be still and immerse myself into the pages and stories.
5. Saturday ended up being a pretty wintry day and I had all intentions of staying inside. I even utilized free delivery from Whole Foods to get our grocery shopping done. However, Badger wanted to check out a Kickback Pinball Cafe so we headed out. It was such a simple concept but so much fun! I already want to go back.
Be you, bravely this week!
