five simple things #19
Thank you for being understanding that I missed a week of five simple things. Last weekend I couldn’t get myself together to write a post. It was a hard week for the social distancing and managing work and life. The uncertainty of how long social distancing and our reality would be lasting weighed heavier on me. However, this week I am choosing optimism. So without any further ado.
1. Dried Mango. Before Target launched Good & Gather, Simply Balanced made the best dried sweetened mango. I could not find it in Target until this weekend when I ventured out and found it! I only wish that I had bough more than two bags. Seriously- try it. No sulfites either (Fox tells me that is an ingredient to avoid)
2. Today’s newest accessory. I have faced the music that this is our new normal. Instead of viewing face masks as something to be afraid of or view as scary, I am trying to see the glimmer of optimism and seeing the beauty. Fox shared the beautiful masks made by Khanh. You can be notified when the print you want is back in stock. I bought the Cream Rosa and it is more gorgeous in person. The elastic is also a soft band that I know will provide me comfort.
3. Nature trails. The weather surprisingly turned out to be sunny and summer-like all weekend and it was glorious. On Sunday, Badger wanted to go exploring so we started out on a trail. It felt like we were in FernGully. It was the perfect retreat to round out the weekend.
4. Bagels. Whatever you are are going through right now, carbs are the answers (wise words from a Sapling Press magnet). It is oh so very true. I ventured to get Brueggers Bagels and the blueberry bagel hit the spot! I of course purchased a dozen so the joy will continue.
5. Celebrations. This weekend we were all supposed to traveling to celebrate Fox and completing her coursework in pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher. Obviously this plan got turned upside. However, this will not stop the celebration! I have already moved into action and cannot wait to share more next weekend!
